Linux System & Server Administrator

Job Description -

1. Install and maintain all server hardware and software systems, and manage server performance and availability.
2. Maintain all system backups and aid in the restoration of all operations, giving necessary training to all users.
3. Create and manage all system tools for all scripts and automation processes, and oversee all capacity planning.
4. Integrate all essential software and address any difficulties across numerous technologies and designs, and offer backup support for business servers
5. Evaluate all applications per system requirements, as well as all design and development activities, and administrate all sophisticated processes
6. Create an infrastructure to handle all business requirements and execute frequent system troubleshooting to fix all difficulties
7. Monitor daily systems, evaluate the availability of all server resources, and carry out all Linux server tasks
8. Assist in the setup and deployment of all virtual machines, and installation & backup of all configuration procedures
9. Maintain and monitor all patch releases, devise multiple patch installation procedures, and keep all systems up to date per NIST standards
10. Manage all resource performance and assure optimization, provide support for all applications, and maintain an ideal level of customer service
11. Maintain and monitor all system frameworks, provide after-hours assistance for all systems, and keep up to date on Linux expertise
12. Troubleshoot all tools, maintain numerous servers, and back up all files and script management servers
13. Test all new software, maintain patches for management services, and conduct audits on all security procedures.

Required Skills & Experience -

1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
2. At least 5-6 Years of experience working as a Linux Administrator with Servers in physical as well as virtual environments.
3. Extensive understanding of Linux, including RedHat, CentOS, and Debian
4. Working knowledge of MySQL and/or MariaDB
5. Understanding of SAN administration and concepts
6. Knowledge of Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
7. Thorough understanding of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP
8. Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, and LPIC) will be an added advantage
9. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
