Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Management:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals and comply with PESO regulations.
• Optimize fuel procurement processes to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective acquisition and services.
• Oversee the safe handling and transportation of fuel, ensuring full compliance with PESO and other relevant regulations.
• Manage inventory levels to meet supply needs while minimizing costs and ensuring safety.
• Monitor supply chain performance metrics with a focus on compliance, safety, cost-effectiveness, and margin optimization.
• Prepare forecasting and projection reports.

2. Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors across India to ensure they meet PESO standards and safety regulations.
• Negotiate margins with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality, compliant materials and services.
• Oversee the payment process to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.

3. PESO Compliance:

• Ensure that all supply chain operations adhere to the standards and regulations set by the Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO).
• Keep up to date with PESO guidelines and incorporate them into the supply chain processes.
• Liaise with PESO authorities to ensure that all required licenses, approvals, and inspections are obtained and maintained.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with the safety, operations, and legal teams to ensure supply chain activities are aligned with PESO compliance and overall business objectives.
• Lead initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and compliance within the supply chain.

5. Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and train a team of supply chain professionals, emphasizing safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Provide continuous learning opportunities to ensure the team is up-to-date on PESO regulations and best practices.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 6-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a preference for experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Proven experience in margin negotiation with suppliers and vendors across India.
• Expertise in managing the procurement, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in making projections and preparing forecasting reports.
• Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, fuel suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
