RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and own the category to ensure exceptional performance in the areas of quality, on time delivery, cost delivering maximum value to tracker products and innovation
• Document award decisions based on a Total Cost of Ownership methodology and minimizing risk of supply disruptions
• Lead the selection, evaluation, classification, and de-sourcing of suppliers globally and/or regionally
• Define the Global Sourcing Strategy for the category and drive its execution in line with the Continuous Improvement Process for Sourcing
• Meet or Exceed SCM KPIs such as: cost reduction, cost avoidance, payment terms, On Time Delivery, Spend with Qualified Supplier, Spend under Frame Agreement etc.
• Ensure cost-out initiatives and/or processes are designed and implemented to achieve cost roadmap targets, Provide subject matter expertise to R&D and technology centers.
• Engage with operations team to understand demand and address local needs
• Leverage the global/regional volumes to maximizing benefits to tracker
• Gather information on volumes, specifications, suppliers, prices for the past periods as well as consumption forecasts for the coming period and keep this information updated regularly
• Serve as point of contact for escalations related to performance targets for global and regional suppliers, Develop the agenda and lead business reviews with preferred suppliers
• Effectively negotiate with suppliers by should cost modelling approach. Negotiate and conclude Global/regional contracts with the suppliers
• Involve technical experts for testing and approval of new supplier samples
• Coordinate technical development activities to reduce costs, reduce/eliminate quality risks and improving the supply chain, by involving experts
• Live core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• CIPS or ISM CPSM certification is a plus
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in supply chain management preferably in Category Management in multi-national companies is a plus
• Minimum experience of 5 years managing remote and cross-cultural team
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to steel raw material manufacturing, Mechanical sheet metal parts, Casting, Welding, Machining, Plastic injection moulding and assembly pre check and post check.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes clean sheet analysis
• Understanding of commodity prices plastic, black steel coils, steel pregalv coils, copper, zinc, Experience in leading technical negotiations through should costing models.
• Superior industry relationships developed for acquiring market intelligence and benchmarking, Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the capability to transform data into short and long-term plans. Strong team building and coaching skills.
• Fluent in English, other languages are a plus.
