L1 Database Administrator - MySQL/PostgreSQL (1-3 yrs)

Monthly Pay : INR 1,12,500

Notice Period : (Immediate Joiner - Only)

Must have Skills :

- Database : MySQL (top priority), followed by DynamoDB

- Key Skills : Unit testing, code review, and experience with design documentation

- Cloud : AWS, Kubernetes, with expertise in backup management and performance optimization

- Scripting/Programming Languages : Python, Bash, or Golang

Job Description :

This role will contribute to :

- Reliability, Availability and Security of the critical database infrastructure at client (MySQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch and Redis)

- Observing, identifying and correcting performance and scale bottlenecks of these databases.

- Automating/Codifying repetitive operations and providing self service tools

- De-risking data availability using highly consistent data backup/restore methods.

What qualities are we looking for ?

- Familiarity with software engineering practices including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.

- An interest in building internal products with other engineers as your customers.

- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.

- Track record of building self-service and high-quality platforms for developers with a customer-driven mindset.

- Curiosity about how things work and love to share that knowledge with others.

- 1-3 years of professional experience in a software environment

- B Tech/M Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.

What you should have ?

- Hands-on experience with datastores like MySQL, PostgreSQL on AWS or similar infrastructure platforms

- Hands on experience on Amazon DynamoDB and DAX will be a plus & preferable

- Hands-on with Datastore management principles and practices (Availability, Backup management, performance management, security, proactive monitoring, encryption etc)

- Experience in building and operating large distributed datastore infra.

- Understanding of operating systems, virtualization, containerization is a plus

- Hands-on coding on any of the languages like Bash, Python or GoLang is a plus

- Familiarity with software engineering practices like unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
