About the Role
Flipkart Fashion is hiring with an aim to manage the multitude of initiatives which are run for the Marketplace seller base. The individual will be required to work on the key strategy and plan & deliver on critical initiatives, which strengthen the supply of selection through Marketplace. He/She will be a part of the Fashion team, closely liaising with the Category teams, Product and Marketplace stakeholders to deliver on initiatives.
What you'll do:
Business strategy :
- Know the customer: Understand customer behaviour, develop new customer insights to shape initiatives
- Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.
- Know the competition: Understand on-line and off-line players. Ensure Flipkart selection stays well ahead of competition
Market Understanding:
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the market - short term and long term trends
- Have an in depth knowledge of competition and ability to influence the internal teams inline with the findings
- Develop and implement industry best practices for Marketplace. Move the industry with you!
Planning & Execution:
- Size the initiatives and the action items needed to be acted upon with a clear definition of milestones
- Regular connects with stakeholders and leadership updates to call-out progress and challenges, if any
- Establish a tracking, reporting and review mechanism for the initiatives with a strict adherence to timelines and impact
- Drive execution excellence and figure out ways to position the initiatives in a way that is it scalable across the organization
What you'll need:
Desired background :
- Educational background - Graduation, MBA is preferred
- Knowledge of Retail, consumer goods industry is a plus
- Adept at project management and stakeholder management
Desired Skill and Background :
- Desire and ability to think like the customer
- Ability to translate strategies into execution plans and take them to completion
- Highly analytical
- Excellent verbal and written communication with interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of Marketplaces, technology and business
- Must be willing to learn
- Ability to connect with people across teams & levels
- Strong bias for Action - Flipkart works at a very rapid pace
- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals
