Application Support Engineer / Production Support Analyst

About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Support Engineer/Production Support Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications within our production environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Axiom (v9 or v10), PL/SQL, Unix, and experience with monitoring and job scheduling tools.

Responsibilities :

- Provide day-to-day production support for critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance.

- Monitor application performance using various monitoring tools and proactively identify and resolve issues.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents and problems, escalating to appropriate teams when necessary.

- Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement preventative measures.

- Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts for data manipulation, reporting, and automation.

- Work within a Unix environment to manage and support applications.

- Utilize job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, or similar) to manage and monitor batch processes.

- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other teams to ensure seamless application deployments and upgrades.

- Document support procedures, knowledge base articles, and other relevant documentation.

- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed.

Required Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Axiom controller (v9 or v10).

- Strong PL/SQL development and scripting skills.

- Proficiency in Unix operating systems and command-line interface.

- Experience with monitoring tools such as Control-M, Geneos, or Splunk.

- Experience with job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or other similar tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
