Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with extensive experience in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) for PVC pipes and resin testing processes, as well as extrusion machines, within the pipe industry. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of analytical equipment and laboratory chemicals, carrying out inspections, providing analytical support, and maintaining ISO 9001 standards. The role also involves reporting quality deviations, guiding subordinates, and coordinating with various departments to ensure compliance and high-quality output.

Major Activities:

1. Equipment and Chemical Upkeep: Ensure the upkeep of all analytical equipment and laboratory chemicals.
2. Inspection: Carry out inspections of finished goods (FG) during the process and in the warehouse.
3. Analytical Support: Provide analytical support to operations whenever required.
4. Quality Reporting: Report quality deviations to concerned personnel and guide subordinates about the process.
5. Instrument Upkeep: Maintain analytical instruments with proper data sheets.
6. Inventory Control: Monitor and control the inventory of laboratory chemicals, consumables, and other required materials.
7. ISO 9001 Standards: Maintain ISO 9001 standards in the lab with all required documents.
8. Pipe Quality Inspection: Conduct pipe quality inspections as per the quality plan and standards.
9. Product Clearance: Provide clearance for deviated product quality before shifting to the finished goods yard.
10. Decision Making: Make appropriate decisions regarding deviated products available on the shop floor.
11. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain all ISI-related documents and coordinate with the marketing department and external parties for compliance.
12. Internal Audits: Prepare the internal audit schedule for ISO 9001 and ensure compliance.
13. Dealer Coordination: Maintain the dealer visiting schedule in coordination with the marketing department, providing guidance and plant information to dealers.
14. Daily Reporting: Prepare daily quality reports and communicate with the Production Incharge on a daily basis.
15. Third-Party Inspections: Coordinate with the marketing department regarding third-party inspection schedules.
16. Housekeeping: Maintain housekeeping standards in the lab.

Qualification & Skills:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Organic/Analytical Chemistry
• 3+ years of experience in PVC pipe and resin testing processes
• Extrusion System Knowledge: Wide knowledge of extrusion systems.
• QC Techniques: Expertise in quality control techniques.
• Standards and Methods: Knowledge of international and national standards and methods of analysis.
• ISO Standards: Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
