Production Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer with experience in PVC extrusion machines within the pipe industry. The Production Engineer is responsible for supervising and improving production by ensuring that the right quantity of products are delivered and aligned to support the speed of the production line. The engineer also reviews efficiencies and

eliminates waste within the manufacturing process to deliver high quality output to clearly defined standards.

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and Control: Monitor and control plant performance parameters on extruders as per SOP and operate the extruders to ensure targeted production.
2. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Make arrangements to keep the machine and its surroundings clean and maintain a good environment during the shift.
3. Size Changes and Rework: Prepare and carry out jobs for size changes and make arrangements for completing rework of semi-finished pipes.
4. Waste Management: Arrange to send shift rejection, wastage, and lumps to the proper place during shift timings.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure Barrel Vacuum, dust collecting bags, cutters, and ASMs are clean and well maintained.
6. Process Monitoring: Inform the Shift Incharge about any abnormalities in the process and work to reduce eccentricities to minimize losses.
7. Utilize Casuals: Provide proper instructions to casual workers.
8. Emergency Actions: Take emergency actions to safeguard equipment, processes, and people.
9. Communication: Communicate with the Shift Incharge from time to time.

Qualification & Skills:

• Diploma/PG Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Plastic or Polymer Technology
• Production experience on PVC extrusion machines
