Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of sales to lead the business development of our digital transformation consulting services in India and North America. The role focuses on developing strategic relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, solution selling, and business development in mid-market and enterprises.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and consulting strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Lead and mentor sales and consulting teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.

Core Delivery

  • Build credibility and maintain strong client relationships by providing insights from industry experience.
  • Drive business development by proactively identifying and pursuing extensions, renewals, and new assignments to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with clients, balancing delivery risks with organizational capability and capacity.

Leadership and Sales

  • Drive sales efforts across clients, including RFP completion, pitch/planning, pricing/sourcing, and resource allocation.
  • Act as an industry Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead in areas of innovative strategy, sharing insights and knowledge with the team.
  • Develop client-facing material and own areas of innovative strategy, contributing to developing market domains/segments.

Reporting and Forecasting

  • Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for executive leadership, highlighting progress towards goals and identifying areas for improvement.

Experience and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development in the IT industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of digital transformation, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, and IT products.
  • Extensive experience in solution-selling methodologies and business development strategies.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex transformation and change programs.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from market data.
  • Ability to manage P&L, cross-functional teams, and stakeholder relationships.
