Design Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Design/Draftsman Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and drafting, along with expertise in CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and Creo.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Creo.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Develop and modify designs based on feedback and testing results and obtain final approvals for manufacturing.
• Ensure internal co-ordination by releasing timely and complete indents for procurement, addressing technical questions by projects, production, quality teams.
• Work with sales team in supporting for design related activities during pre-order stage.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and best practices.
• Prepare technical documentation and specifications for manufacturing.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and sales to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ability to work with high speed under pressure for result orientation.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design-related issues.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, calculations, operation, maintenance manuals and reports.
• Maintain accurate records of design activities and project progress.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in design and drafting in pressure vessel or filtration industry.
• Experience in designing and drafting filters, strainers, separators, skids for the process industry
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks FEA, PV Elite.
• Ensure internal co-ordination by releasing timely and complete indents for procurement, addressing technical questions by projects, production, quality teams
• Work with sales team in supporting for design related activities during pre-order stage
• Apply in-depth knowledge of ASME, DIN and other applicable codes to ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety standards. Strong understanding of ASME codes, PED, U stamp requirements, and other relevant industry standards.
• Ensure designs comply with PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and U stamp requirements.
• Knowledge of vessel sizing, free flow area, pressure drop and thickness calculations meeting customer standards and requirements.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Awareness about latest design software and engineering trends.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with additional design software (e.g., Ansys) is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management tools.
• Knowledge of material selection and manufacturing processes.
