VP Operations

Position Overview: The Vice President - Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire manufacturing and operational functions of the company. This role demands a dynamic leader with a strong background in filtration and pressure vessel manufacturing, ensuring on-time dispatches to avoid LD and meet committed delivery dates (CDD). The VP-Operations will lead production, quality assurance, dispatches, stores, planning, and overall coordination to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage end-to-end operations, ensuring smooth production and timely dispatches while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production schedules, capacity utilization, and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict adherence to committed delivery dates (CDD) to prevent liquidated damages (LD) and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Oversee supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics, to streamline production and dispatch processes.
• Implement best practices for quality control, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to align operations with business objectives.
• Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and excellence in manufacturing operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take proactive measures to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong background in filtration and pressure vessel manufacturing.
• Proven track record of managing production, quality assurance, planning, projects co-ordination, customer communication and logistics in a manufacturing setup.
• Expertise in handling industrial filters and strainers production for diverse industries.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and dispatch processes.
• Experience in handling large-scale manufacturing operations with a focus on timely deliveries and cost optimization.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a high-volume, custom manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for production planning and inventory management.
