Job Summary

Feroke Boards Ltd. seeks an experienced Production Manager with 10+ years of experience in plywood manufacturing to lead our production team in Calicut. We welcome candidates willing to relocate from outside Kerala. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring quality control, and managing team performance, including migrant workers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to meet demand, minimize waste, and maximize efficiency.

2. Team Management: Supervise and mentor production team members, including migrant workers, providing guidance and support.

3. Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.

4. Process Optimization: Analyze and improve production processes, reducing costs and increasing productivity.

5. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, managing raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.

6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

7. Budgeting: Manage production budgets, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation.

8. Reporting: Prepare and submit production reports, analyzing data and providing insights.

9. Migrant Worker Management: Effectively manage and coordinate migrant worker teams, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.

2. 10+ years of experience in plywood manufacturing, preferably in a management role.

3. Proven track record in optimizing production efficiency and quality control.

4. Strong leadership and team management skills.

5. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

6. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

8. Fluency in Hindi and English.

Desired Qualifications

1. MBA or related postgraduate degree.

2. Experience with ERP systems, production planning software, and quality control tools.

3. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

4. Experience managing diverse teams, including migrant workers.
