Job Title: Lead Business Analyst - Product and Customer Analytics
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Business Analyst with 8 to 12 years of expertise in product analytics, customer insights, and data-driven decision-making. As a leader in this role, you will guide business analysis efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and oversee the design of scalable analytics solutions that drive strategic decisions. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Collaboration
Lead a team of business analysts, providing mentorship, guidance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Business, Marketing, Finance, Security, Data Science) to align business analysis efforts with organizational objectives.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment of business requirements with technical solutions.
2. Product and Customer Analytics
Assess, interpret, and analyse customer behaviour across websites, mobile devices, and other platforms to uncover actionable insights.
Utilize advanced analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Metabase, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar and similar tools to evaluate user behaviour, market trends, and performance metrics.
Oversee the design and execution of A/B testing frameworks, experimental methodologies, and statistical analyses for informed product & business decisions. Define and track KPIs for product and customer performance, driving data-informed strategies for improvement
3. Data Pipeline Collaboration
Collaborate with data engineering teams to architect and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into cloud-based data lakes (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery, AWS, or Databricks).
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and readiness for business analysis.
Provide input on data pipeline requirements to support real-time and batch processing.
4. Reporting and Visualization
Oversee the development of advanced dashboards (real-time or otherwise) and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, Superset and likes to effectively communicate key insights.
Deliver concise and actionable reports to stakeholders, emphasizing critical takeaways and strategic recommendations.
Continuously refine reporting and visualization processes to enhance clarity and impact
5. Strategic Insight and Process Improvement
Proactively identify trends and opportunities within data to inform strategic business & product decisions.
Develop and optimize workflows for data collection, reporting, and analysis to drive operational efficiency.
Provide innovative recommendations for product enhancements and improved customer experiences based on analytical findings.
Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and their implications for user analytics.
Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degrees (MBA, master's in data science, or similar) are a plus.
Experience
8 to 12 years of professional experience in business analysis, product analytics, or marketing analytics, with a focus on large scale global eCommerce and B2B (preferred) or B2C environments.
Proven experience leading teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Proven experience in working with large setup with millions of customers across multiple touchpoints.
Technical Expertise
Proficiency in web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar.
Advanced knowledge of cloud-based data lakes (Microsoft Azure, Google BigQuery, AWS, Databricks or similar).
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and integration.
Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Google Looker Studio, Tableau, Grafana, Superset or similar.
Analytical and Statistical Skills
Deep understanding of A/B testing, experimental design, and statistical hypothesis testing
Experience combining data from multiple sources to derive actionable business insights.
Leadership and Communication.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
