Job Description

The Manager for Sales plays a crucial role in leading and managing the sales team to achieve business targets and drive revenue growth. This role is integral in developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and fostering strong client relationships. Additionally, the Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales process, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive business growth.
  • Oversee key accounts, maintain relationships, and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Analyze sales data to provide insights for decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product offerings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and potential risks.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions for the sales team.
  • Ensure compliance with sales policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of sales personnel.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and expenses related to sales activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and services.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and CRM systems.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in sales management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing sales teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical abilities to drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and performance evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry dynamics.
  • Certification in Sales or related field is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business engagements.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and foster a collaborative and positive team culture.
