Job Title: MIS Executive Mutual Fund Operations

Department: Mutual Fund Operations

Location: Indore

Experience Required: 1-3 years in mutual fund operations or related roles

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management:
   
• Maintain and update accurate records of client investments in mutual funds.
• Reconcile mutual fund transactions such as purchases, redemptions, and switches with AMCs and RTA systems (CAMS, KARVY, etc.).
2. MIS and Reporting:
   
• Prepare detailed MIS reports on fund performance, transaction summaries, and client portfolios.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal teams and management using advanced Excel features (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
3. Compliance Support:
   
• Ensure all operations comply with SEBI regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in preparing audit documentation and regulatory filings.
4. Operational Efficiency:
   
• Monitor and improve processes for handling mutual fund transactions and customer requests.
• Work on automating routine reporting tasks for improved efficiency.
5. Customer Support:
   
• Address client queries related to investments, NAVs, and transaction statuses.
• Collaborate with relationship managers to ensure seamless service delivery.
6. Technology Utilization:
   
• Use mutual fund platforms like BSE StAR MF, NSE MFSS, and MF Utility for transaction processing.
• Assist in transitioning manual processes to automated solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Certifications like NISM-Series V-A (Mutual Fund Distributors) are a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions like macros, dashboards).
• Familiarity with mutual fund transaction platforms (CAMS, Karvy, etc.).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience: Previous experience in mutual fund operations or back-office roles is desirable.

System & Process Automation:

• Design and implement Excel dashboards, pivot tables, and macros to streamline reporting.
• Use tools like SQL, Power BI, or Tableau to create insightful visualizations for financial performance.
• Automate repetitive reporting tasks for efficiency.

Financial Analysis & Reconciliation:

• Support financial teams in reconciling brokerage transactions, commissions, and client accounts.
• Analyze trends in brokerage income and suggest optimizations for profitability.
• Assist in preparing reports for regulatory compliance (SEBI, NSE, BSE).

Coordination & Support:

• Work closely with trading, sales, and operations teams to gather and verify data.
• Address discrepancies in financial data and provide timely resolutions.
• Assist in audits by maintaining organized records of financial transactions.
• Design and maintain dashboards using Excel (Advanced functions like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and business intelligence tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, IT, or related field.
• Technical Expertise:
• Advanced MS Excel (formulas, macros, pivot tables).
• Strong understanding of financial operations in the broking industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask efficiently.

Performance Indicators:

• Accuracy and timeliness of reports.
• Reduction in manual reporting effort through automation.
• Insights delivered for improving financial performance.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
• Compile, manage, and analyze large datasets related to sales, client portfolios, and financial transactions.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial and operational reports.

• Design and maintain dashboards using Excel (Advanced functions like Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and business intelligence tools.
• Automate reporting processes to reduce manual effort and enhance efficiency.
2. Compliance Support:
   
• Maintain compliance-related data and generate periodic reports for audits.
• Ensure data security and integrity in line with company policies.
3. Operational Support:
   
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and finance teams to gather data and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the reconciliation of trades, commissions, and transactions.
4. System Maintenance:
   
• Ensure smooth functioning of the MIS system by collaborating with IT teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data or software-related issues as they arise.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, IT, or a related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Advanced level), SQL, and other data analytics tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in the broking or financial services industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
