Key Roles & Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Execution:
- Support the CEO and CFO in planning and executing future fundraising rounds (Series B, debt financing, etc.).
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify potential investors (VCs, PEs, strategic partners, etc.).
- Prepare and refine pitch decks, investor presentations, and financial models.
- Manage due diligence processes by coordinating with legal, finance, and business teams.
- Track investor commitments and ensure timely follow-ups on funding discussions.
Investor Relations & Communication:
- Act as a key point of contact for investors, ensuring they receive regular updates.
- Prepare quarterly investor reports, board decks, and key performance updates.
- Organize investor meetings, earnings calls, and stakeholder discussions.
Address investor queries, concerns, and data requests promptly.
- Ensure compliance with investor agreements, funding milestones, and covenants.
Strategic Planning & Business Operations:
- Work closely with the CEO & leadership team to define and execute strategic priorities.
- Assist in setting OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and track company performance against fundraising milestones.
- Develop data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and execute special projects such as expansion planning, market research, and competitive analysis.
Financial Planning & Performance Monitoring:
- Work with the finance team to track cash flow, runway, and capital allocation.
- Ensure investor funds are utilized efficiently and in line with strategic goals.
- Establish dashboards to monitor key financial & operational KPIs relevant to investors.
- Support budget planning, financial forecasting, and revenue growth strategies.
Board & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the liaison between the leadership team and the board of directors.
- Prepare and manage board meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action plans.
- Ensure alignment between investor expectations and company execution.
- Assist in building strategic partnerships with VCs, institutional investors, and potential acquirers.
Market Positioning & External Relations:
- Represent the startup at investor summits, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Support public relations and media strategies to enhance investor confidence.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to craft messaging around funding announcements and growth achievements.
Risk Management & Crisis Handling:
- Identify financial, legal, and operational risks that could impact investor confidence.
- Develop contingency plans for capital constraints, market downturns, or investor churn.
- Work closely with legal teams to ensure regulatory and compliance adherence.
Success Metrics for the Role:
- Successful execution of fundraising milestones (Series B, bridge rounds, debt financing, etc.).
- Effective investor relationship management leading to repeat investments.
- Timely delivery of investor updates, board reports, and financial insights.
- Increased company valuation and financial runway optimization.
- Strengthened market positioning and strategic partnerships.
