Business Analyst

Overview:

We are looking for a Business Analyst with 5 to 6 years of experience in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of banking products, processes, and regulations, combined with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to define solutions that meet business objectives and enhance banking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering & Analysis:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders (such as product managers, business users, compliance teams, and IT) to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements for banking products and services (e.g., retail banking, corporate banking, payments, loans, etc.).
  • Create detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process flows for new banking systems, enhancements, and processes.

• Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication of requirements and solutions.
  • Conduct workshops, meetings, and interviews to elicit detailed business requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.

• Business Process Modeling:

  • Analyze and model current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, optimization, and automation.
  • Design and document future-state business processes that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with process owners to implement process improvements and recommend solutions for more efficient operations.

• Solution Design & Documentation:

  • Work with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring a clear understanding of how to implement the solution.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and use cases.
  • Support the design, development, and testing of banking solutions by reviewing technical documentation, user interfaces, and system features.

• Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to banking products, services, and customer behavior.
  • Develop reports and dashboards that provide insights into banking operations, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that business decisions are supported by accurate and relevant data.

• Project Management Support:

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure project scope, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and adhered to.
  • Assist in risk management by identifying potential project issues and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Help ensure successful project delivery by tracking progress, maintaining documentation, and supporting testing and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).

• Compliance & Regulatory Analysis:

  • Ensure that solutions are compliant with banking regulations, industry standards, and internal policies (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR).
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and help the organization adapt processes and systems accordingly.
  • Assist in audit processes and ensure the necessary controls are in place for compliance and risk management.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about emerging trends in banking technology, digital banking, and financial services.
  • Propose new solutions, tools, and practices to improve business processes, customer experiences, and system efficiency.
  • Drive innovation by recommending technology and system enhancements to better support the banking business.

Key Skill & Qualification:

• Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain.
• Strong understanding of banking products and services such as retail banking, corporate banking, loans, payments, and digital banking.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., AML, KYC, FATCA, GDPR).
• Experience in documenting and managing business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex business processes, identify problems, and design solutions.
• Proficiency in business process modeling tools and techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML, Visio).
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies and familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and BI tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
