Job Description:
- A Project Manager in Core Services is responsible for planning and leading all phases of IS Strategic Projects of varying size, scope and complexity.
- These strategic projects support and enhance our mission to provide world class infrastructure to our operations.
- The Project Manager is responsible for providing visibility to management team members within and across all departments, keeping them informed of the project status, resource capacity, roadblocks, and risks.
- The Project Manager will direct the day-to-day activities of Analysts, Developers and other IS personnel for the duration of their involvement in a project.
- A Project Manager will assume responsibility for successfully meeting the business requirements of simultaneous projects and will lead cross functional teams tackling complex problems
Qualifications:
- 7 to 12 years of IT experience with strong knowledge in Supply Chain / Logistics domain
- Knowledge on IT infrastructure will be an added advantage but not mandatory though
- Communication of status and results with technical and non-technical audience
- Excellent time management and follow up skills
- Experience initiating, planning, and managing projects
- Ability to form strong relationships and build a collaborative environment across IS Department
- Experience on SAFe/Agile framework
- Knowledge on Logistics domain and DevOps
- Hands on experience on ADO or similar tools
- Exceptional organization skills
- Ability to resolve open issues and manage risks
- Excellent leadership skills including facilitation, motivation, negotiation, and team building
- PMP certification or any equivalent
- Skilled at working both independently and with cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide spectrum of people
- Effective at navigating ambiguity and helping diverse teams drive towards clarity and consensus
Major Responsibilities:
- Schedule and run effective project meetings and training.
- This includes preparation, execution, and follow up (i.e., create agenda, facilitate a focused discussion, create, and publish meeting minutes, create and follow up on action items, and solicit feedback)
- Hold team accountable to deadlines
- Create and maintain project plan
- Protect and raise visibility to other work that is impacting the project plan
- Prepare and communicate regular updates on status to all project stakeholders
- Escalate risks and discuss roadblocks with all project stakeholders
- Coordinate consulting and training with external parties
- Run and review project metrics
- Maintain a high-level understanding of the tasks that each member of the project team is working on.
- Promptly resolve issues and provide visibility to management team on action taken or if help is needed with a proposed solution
- Facilitate task assignment for optimal usage of project resources
- Identify and propose areas for improvement
