Linux EDA Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• EDA Tools & License Management: Install, configure, and maintain various EDA tools like Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, along with managing their licenses.
• User Support: Provide high-level technical support to design engineers, troubleshoot complex issues related to both EDA tools and the HPC environment.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure optimal performance of EDA tools and HPC resources through performance tuning, resource management, and automation.
• Reporting & Monitoring: Manage EDA license usage reporting and work on efficient license utilization strategies.
• Automation & Scripting: Automate repetitive workflows by creating and maintaining scripts using Python, Perl, Tcl, or other scripting languages.
• Collaboration: Work closely with design teams, understanding their requirements and providing custom technical solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security measures and ensure industry-standard compliance.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with HPC environments, EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics).
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
