JOB DESCRIPTION - SALES HEAD (STEEL INDUSTRY)

Location: Pune

Reporting Structure : This position reports to President/MD

Min. Qualification: Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy passed out from reputed College / Institute (IIT / NIT /Govt. College) + MBA in Sales / Marketing from reputed management institutes.

Experience: 25+Years of experience, out of which 10-15 years working as Sales head of Steel Plant

Languages:

English, Hindi, Knowledge of Marathi will be an added advantage.

Preferred Age:

Between 40 to 55 years, Male

Candidate Background:

Dynamic & experienced leader with a proven track record. Person having more than 15 Years of working experience in Sales in the Large Steel Plant.

Job Description:

1) To develop strategy to increase market share in Non-Group business.

2) Manage Group business and increase non group business at pan India level.

3) To develop Export market, ESR / VAR Business, Tool & Die Business.

4) To develop service center networks and to utilize service center network thru traded products.

5) Formation of strategy to enter into new business. (Defense, Aerospace, RIGS, Export)

6) To achieve business plan and per annual figures and Turnover.

7) Maintain contribution/profits in business.

8) Focus and identification for opportunity in National / International Business.

9) Key skill identification of team members and distribute the work , support all staff and train them accordingly.

10) To develop govt. business with the help of experts.

11) To receive and control AR as per plan.

12) Major Products- All Alloy Steels, Ni, Moly, High value long products

13) Major Customers- OEM, Automobile, Forging business, Govt. Aerospace, Marine etc

1. Technically sound & through knowledge of steel making process

2. Leadership skills, including ability to manage time effectively & handle both internal & external conflicts.

3. Strong ability to organize effectively, delegate responsibility, solves problems quickly & communicates clearly.

4. Strong team building, decision-making & people management skills.

5. Good Leadership traits and understand cross functional team dynamics.

Personality Traits & Skills:

Good analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving

Strong written communication and presentation skills required

Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements.

Polite and Trustworthy

Compensation Range: Compensation package will not be the constraint for the appropriate candidate.
