Sr. Executive - Production Planning

Job description: The Production Planning and Control Executive is responsible for managing the planning and coordination of production activities to ensure efficient operations across multiple SKUs. This role involves close collaboration with Sales, Production, QC, QA, Purchase, and Dispatch teams to meet customer demands while optimizing resources. The executive will also handle issuance of process orders, coordinate R&D sample orders, manage MRP processes, and utilize SAP for effective production planning and control.

Role & responsibilities

• Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules for multiple SKUs based on sales forecasts, order requirements, and inventory levels. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Process Order Issuance: Prepare and issue process orders to the production team in alignment with the production schedule. Monitor process order execution to ensure compliance with production plans and specifications.
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Analyze material requirements and ensure adequate inventory levels for seamless production. Coordinate with the Purchase team to schedule material procurement and avoid shortages.
• Coordination with Departments: Collaborate with the Sales team to understand order priorities and delivery commitments. Work closely with the Production team to ensure schedule feasibility and resource allocation. Partner with QC and QA to ensure quality checks and standards are adhered to. Coordinate with Dispatch to align production output with shipping timelines.
• R&D Sample Orders: Plan and manage production of R&D sample orders in coordination with the R&D and Production teams. Ensure timely delivery of samples for trials and customer evaluations.
• SAP Utilization: Maintain and update production planning, process orders, and inventory data in SAP. Generate detailed reports on production status, inventory levels, and material requirements.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production schedules, process orders, and MRP reports. Provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders and management.
• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements to enhance planning and execution. Implement best practices to streamline production planning and control.

Preferred candidate profile

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Organizational and multitasking skills to manage priorities effectively.
• Experience managing multiple SKUs
• Ready to relocate nearby company location (Wagholi, Pune)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SAP (Production Planning module).
• Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and production planning processes.
