Vice President/Senior Vice President - Media Relations - Bank (15-22 yrs)

A Leading Private Bank is looking out for a Vice President - Media Relations reporting to the Top Management to be based at Mumbai.

We are looking at candidates who are currently working in Banking / Financial Services sector or in a Large PR/Media Relations company catering to the BFSI sector.

Requirement:

- We are looking at individuals who have 15+ years' experience of working in the PR/Media Relations and corporate communications domain with very strong understanding and experience in Banking and Financial Services sector coupled with a strong journalism background.

- The individual should have significant experience of working with the media, managing reputational issues, developing strong relationships and communicating the company's goals and ambitions to these important stakeholders.

- Very strong relations in all types of communication media - Print, TV, electronic and online.

- Should have exceptional written, verbal communication & relationship management skills, with a demonstrated ability to assert strategic leadership, foresight and effective judgment and also during media events, media interviews and at client forums as and when required.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems and respond to tight deadlines

- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills.

- Should have strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise, sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

Responsibilities:

- The person would develop and implement a clear PR/ Media Relations strategy for the Bank which is consistent across all aspects of internal/ external communications.

- Responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization and its leadership.

- Create and develop channels of communication with media houses for updating them on the Banks initiatives and activities.

- Work with key media representatives to position the Bank through written and oral communications to the media.

- Manage issues that arise in a crisis situation to minimize reputational and brand damage.

- Formulate strategies for Corporate Communications and liaise with PR agencies for external communication interface.
