Assistant Manager - Quality Control

We are the only Indian company manufacturing and dealing in Dry Screw Vacuum Pumps, Mechanical Vacuum Boosters, Customized Industrial Vacuum Systems, Twin Tri Lobe Roots Blowers (Positive Displacement), Heli-Hybrid Blowers, Turbo Blowers, Multi- Stage Centrifugal Blowers, Side Channel Blowers, and Spares for all.

Job Summary

Highly skilled and experienced Casting Machining Inspection Professional.

Responsible for ensuring the quality of castings and machined components meet drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

Handson experience of supplier inspection development. Role includes travelling at supplier end for stage wise pre inspection.

Responsibilities

1. Manage Third Party Inspection call (Preparing Quality Dossier)
2. Verify casting dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish using precision measuring instruments.
3. Witness of Destructive Non-destructive Testing.
4. Identify and report defects, anomalies, and areas for improvement in casting processes.
5. Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and checklists to ensure effective quality control.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
7. Identify and report defects, anomalies, and areas for improvement in casting and machining processes.
8. Develop and maintain inspection records, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
9. Conduct audits and assessments of supplier quality management systems to ensure compliance with company standards.
10. Stay up to date with industry developments, standards, and best practices in casting and machining inspection.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Production, Metallurgy, or related field.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or related field, preferably in casting and machining industries.

Travel Work Arrangements/Requirements

• Travel to the vendors for the meetings and improvements.

Key Competencies

1. Strong knowledge of casting and machining processes, materials, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
2. Proficiency in inspection techniques, including visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing methods.
3. Knowledge of Casting Methoding and Pattern inspection.
4. Knowledge and experience in the following manufacturing processes
   - Casting (i.e. sand castings, gray cast iron, precision)
   - Machining (i.e. lathes, mills, CNC machining centres, de-burring)
5. Knowledge of Codes Standards (ASME, API, DIN, IS, ISO etc.)
6. Knowledge of DT NDT (Level II - PT, UT, RT)
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
8. Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
9. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., Rotary Equipment manufacturing).
10. Hands on experience of handling CMM and other precise measuring, monitoring instruments.
