Asst Manager / Manager - Quality Control

Role & responsibilities

• Inspection of incoming materials and Stage inspection for manufactured equipment at all stages.
• Knowledge on manufacturing process, stage inspection and clearance during equipment manufacturing process.
• Knowledge in Witnessing WPS, PQR and approval of welders.
• Knowledge in ISO, ASME, TEMA & API codes and responsible for training and managing teams for respective audits.
• Responsible for right documentation and maintaining the codes. inspection procedures and records.
• Co-ordinating with third party inspection agencies for inspections & approvals.
• Knowledge in study of equipment drawings and giving right instructions to production team.
• Educating the workforce on new processes, safety material, welding and other procedures to workmen and shop floor team.
• Vendor inspections and quality checks of ordered products / materials.
• Responsible for vendor evaluation and vendor approval.
  
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate should have 10 years experience in QA/QC function in any heavy fabrication industry. Exotic materials fabrication industry is preferable.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standard, ASME, TEMA & API codes etc codes.
• Candidate Should be ASNT level II for RT, UT, MPI & LPI
• Should have good knowledge of welding procedures on carbon steel, stainless steel and exotic materials like titanium & Nickel alloys.

Knowledge in fabrication of heat exchangers, Pressure Vessels, tanks & piping equipment.
