Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Planning:
   
• Develop and implement quality assurance plans for piping and structural components based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to establish quality objectives and performance criteria.
2. Inspection and Testing:
   
• Conduct inspections of piping and structural materials, components, and installations to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) and destructive testing as necessary to assess material integrity and performance.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
   
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance documentation.
• Generate quality reports and metrics to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
4. Supplier and Contractor Management:
   
• Evaluate and qualify suppliers and contractors based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and performance history.
• Monitor supplier and contractor activities to ensure they meet quality requirements and contractual obligations.
5. Quality Control Procedures:
   
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and work instructions for piping and structural installations.
• Provide guidance and training to project teams on quality control best practices and procedures.
6. Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:
   
• Investigate quality issues and non-conformances to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.
7. Continuous Improvement:
   
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in quality assurance and control processes.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and projects to enhance overall project quality and performance.
8. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
   
• Ensure all quality assurance activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among project teams and stakeholdersRole & responsibilities
