Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the sales function and take complete ownership of P&L and annual revenue targets.
  • To lead the short term and long term planning, and developing Marketing and Sales strategies for the entire India Business.
  • To attend review meetings with Management on periodic basis and support Management in planning & review sales / support activities periodically.
  • Create a culture of success and an ongoing business and goal achievement possibly more important than the first item on this list.
  • Lead and manage the sales teams, back-end sales operations, and resources to deliver profitable business growth and expansion of network.
  • To deploy field sales / service staff in a way that optimum utilisation can be achieved.
  • To motivate, mentor and counsel sales / support function for better performance.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Define and implement SOPs (Standard Operative Guidelines), SLAs (Service Level Agreement) and processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements as where and when required.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting. To prepare and submit the annual sales budget of respective business vertical.
  • To coordinate with production, supply chain and other functions (inter departmental coordination) to ensure that organisational goals are met.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to management from time to time.
  • Work closely with marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs. Also plan and participate in local / domestic / international level exhibitions related to dairy / dairy instruments pan India.
  • To represent Everest in Industry and Professional forums for establishing/expanding network and to contribute in organisational brand building.
  • Being a senior member of the team, work with direct line managers in developing and training junior staff.
  • Promote open, constructive, and collaborative relations with superiors, subordinates, peers and generating a one-firm culture.
  • Conduct activities at corporates interacting with line managers to provide inputs for sales generation.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding sales revenue from clients.
  • Ensure timely submission of periodic MIS to concern stake holders for decision-making.
  • Arrange and conduct daily, weekly and monthly sales review meetings with sales team.

Qualification & Experience

  • Technical degree in Engineering, Dairy Science, or related discipline.
  • An MBA with a specialization in Sales & marketing or similar is highly preferred.

Must:

  • 20+ years of experience in Business Development, team management, Revenue generation etc.
  • Have exposure in Dairy and Food industry.
