Job Summary:
The National Sales Head will be responsible for driving business growth across India through effective sales strategies, new business opportunities, and channel development.
The role demands a strategic leader who can manage a high-performing sales team, establish new client relationships, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
The candidate should have an excellent understanding of the logistics and express parcel industry and a track record of successfully achieving and surpassing sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet the companys business objectives.
- Drive aggressive sales targets and ensure sustained growth in market share.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's client base in key sectors.
New Business Development:
- Lead efforts to identify, target, and secure high-value clients across multiple sectors.
- Build and execute go-to-market strategies for new service offerings.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitors, and emerging customer needs to maintain a competitive edge.
Channel Development:
- Establish and expand strategic channel partnerships across regions.
- Work closely with regional sales heads to ensure optimized distribution channels and business expansion.
- Monitor channel performance and devise measures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the national sales team to achieve maximum performance.
- Set clear sales targets, performance indicators, and development plans for the team.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Ensure excellent customer service and engagement by providing tailored solutions.
- Maintain long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their evolving needs.
- Address customer concerns, manage escalations, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Analyze sales performance, revenue trends, and market conditions to refine strategies.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
- Utilize CRM systems for tracking sales performance and customer interactions.
Collaboration with Operations & Marketing:
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to align promotional campaigns with sales strategies.
- Provide market feedback to drive innovation and service improvements.
Budget Management:
- Oversee the sales budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and maximizing return on investment (ROI).
Negotiation & Closing:
- Lead high-stakes negotiations with key clients and partners, ensuring favourable terms that align with company goals.
Brand Ambassador:
- Represent Ethics Group at Industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, enhancing the company's visibility and reputation in the market.
Qualifications:
Experience: 12-15 years of sales experience, with a significant portion in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management. Proven track record of leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain solutions, and express parcel delivery and Deep understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and key players.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term sales plans that align with business objectives.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and financial reports.
Results-Oriented: Driven by results, with a strong focus on achieving targets and delivering measurable outcomes. Willingness to travel frequently across regions.
