Job Description
Position Title: Order Management System (OMS) Business Analyst
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team and take a key role in the development, implementation, and ongoing support of our Order Management System (OMS). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis and order management processes, and will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure the system meets business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements related to the OMS.
Process Analysis: Analyze current order management processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Solution Design: Develop and propose solutions that address business needs and enhance order management capabilities.
System Implementation: Work with IT and other relevant departments to support the implementation of OMS solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
Testing and Validation: Develop test plans, conduct testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the OMS functions as intended.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, system specifications, and user guides.
Training: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of the OMS.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business units and IT, facilitating clear communication and understanding of system capabilities and limitations.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor system performance and user feedback to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
Project Management: Assist in project planning, scheduling, and managing deliverables to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within an order management or supply chain environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using business analysis tools and methodologies; experience with OMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan) is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and propose solutions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Project Management: Experience in project management principles and practices; PMP certification is a plus.
Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or similar certification.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to order management and supply chain.
Technical Acumen: Understanding of IT infrastructure, databases, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
