About the Job:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for achieving sales targets within the assigned territory by identifying and engaging prospective customers, servicing existing clients, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
This role requires a strategic and customer-centric approach to driving business growth while representing the company at conferences and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate prospective customers in the market and facilitate vendor registration when required.
- Promote the brand and convert leads into successful business opportunities.
- Forecast sales and establish targets aligned with market trends and business goals.
- Build and nurture professional relationships with key customers to ensure strong recall and loyalty.
- Address customer complaints and rejections by coordinating with internal stakeholders and providing timely communication.
- Represent the company at industry events, including conferences and exhibitions, to promote products and strengthen brand image.
- Provide periodic updates to management through the CRM application.
- Analyze industry trends, rules, and regulations to stay competitive and proactive.
- Prepare monthly travel plans to maximize customer interactions and drive sales growth.
- Conduct competitive analyses to strategically position products and close deals.
- Assist in business planning, annual sales budgeting, and market analysis, submitting detailed projections with monthly phasing for the assigned territory.
- Maintain a robust sales funnel to meet sales targets and report progress to management weekly.
- Set Key Result Areas (KRAs) for team members and conduct performance reviews.
- Develop team members through job descriptions, performance management, training initiatives, and career progression planning.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation and standards.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Education:
- Essential: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Desired: Master's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
Experience:
6-8 years of sales experience in industries like gaskets, pumps, valves, mechanical seals, heat exchangers, refineries, etc.
Skills:
Proficiency in Hindi for effective communication.
Expertise in MS Excel and its business-oriented features.
Strong connections in top-tier EPCs, EPMCs, OEMs, and industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Metals, Mines, Fertilizers, Chemicals, and Pharmaceuticals
