Job Description

- Urgently Hiring: US Tax Assistant Manager (Individual & Corporate Tax).

- We are seeking an experienced US Tax Assistant Manager with expertise in individual and corporate tax.

- The ideal candidate will be CA qualified or a CPA, with strong knowledge of US tax laws, experience in tax preparation and review, and the ability to manage client relationships.

- The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in individual and corporate tax, with a proven ability to manage tax preparation, compliance, and client relationships.


- Candidates who are CA qualified or CPA certified are preferred.


- This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:


- Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.


- Ensure accuracy and compliance with US tax laws and regulations.


- Conduct thorough tax research and document findings on various tax-related issues.


- Provide clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance.


- Analyze complex tax situations and deliver tailored solutions to meet client objectives.


- Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent service and addressing client inquiries.


- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring effective communication and satisfaction.


- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills.


- Review work prepared by team members, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.


- Manage team workflows to meet project deadlines and deliverables.


- Stay updated on changes to US tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.


- Prepare detailed tax reports and ensure proper documentation for audits and other reviews.


- Assist in responding to IRS and state tax authorities' inquiries or audits.


Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:


- Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax laws for individuals and corporations.


- Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entity types.


- Proficiency in tax software and tools (e.g., ProConnect, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess).


- CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is mandatory.


- 4-5 years of experience in US tax preparation, review, and compliance.


- Experience in a public accounting firm or a tax consultancy is a plus.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
