Data Scientist

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Data Scientist for a Logistics Comany in Mumbai. The Data Scientist will be responsible for tasks such as data science, statistics, data analytics, data visualization, and data analysis to drive insights and optimize processes within the logistics domain.

*1. Data Analytics & Modeling*

• Develop predictive and prescriptive models to optimize logistics and delivery performance.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, insights, and patterns for decision-making.

*2. Algorithm Development*

• Build and refine algorithms for delivery time prediction, route optimization, and pincode validation.
• Enhance machine learning models to improve the platform's capabilities.

*3. Data Integration & Quality*

• Ensure the integration of data from various APIs and third-party systems.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and ensure clean, reliable datasets.

*4. Product Insights & Strategy*

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement data-driven features.
• Provide insights that contribute to client-specific customizations.

*5. Visualization & Reporting*

• Develop dashboards and visualizations to present insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Automate reporting to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficient in Python, R, or similar programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-lsci-kit-learnearn).
• Familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop or Spark is a plus.
• Experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
• Understanding f logistics, e-commerce, or supply chain analytics is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address complex business challenges.
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
