DevOps Analyst

Duties Responsibilities

• CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure (Terraform). AWS EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, VPC, Lambda and others
• Docker-Compose. Local development environment
• Helm. Creating Helm charts, helm repositories deploying charts.
• Monitoring. Performance, uptime and more nuanced ad-hoc monitors.
• Documentation. Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with markup languages

Knowledge, Skills Abilities

• Understanding of DevOps as a concept and its fundamental precepts and practices
• Generalist engineer. Able and willing to work on areas that may be completely unfamiliar/new to existing core competencies
• Kubernetes (AWS, Azure, EKS), and distributed services (microservices)
• Docker, repositories docker-compose for local/sandbox application development
• Experienced with CI/CD pipeline design development (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Highly proficient with shell scripting (bash)
• 5+ years of experience with Linux
• Terraform. Managing large infrastructure with multiple environments, implementing modules, centralized tfstate.
• Monitoring (Grafana, DataDog, Cloudwatch). Designing new monitors to track metrics around application performance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a majority of the following: Git, Helm, K8S Operators, NodeJS, Python or Groovy, curl, jq, kubectl, API, Jenkins, Vault/Secret Manager, Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, Cloudwatch, NGINX Ingress
• SQL experience (Postgres, SQL Server). Basic DBA tasks and SQL query.
• Jenkins pipeline, GitHub Actions
• Security experience, certifications. Infrastructure
