Job Description

Job Summary:
Looking for a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager of Human Resources with a minimum of 6 years of Unit/Plant HR experience. This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all HR functions at the unit level, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, effectively managing contract labour, fostering positive employee relations, and supporting and implementing employee management and employee development initiatives that align with business objectives, contribute to a positive work culture, and ensure smooth HR operations.


Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to managing HR functions at the unit level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of all HR functions at the unit level, aligning them with business goals.
  • Support the recruitment process by sourcing qualified talent, conducting interviews, and overseeing effective on-boarding for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory regulations, including labour laws, safety standards, and other local legal requirements.
  • Manage contract labour processes, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and seamless execution of contract agreements.
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets.
  • Liaise with other functional / departmental head so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements.
  • Promote a positive employee relations environment through regular communication, proactive conflict resolution, and fostering a supportive work culture.
  • Implement, and manage training and development programs to support employee growth, performance enhancement, and career advancement.
  • Enforce, and continuously update HR policies and procedures to maintain consistency, fairness, and compliance across the unit.
  • Collaborate with leadership and managers to address employee concerns, resolve grievances, and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Administer employee records, attendance, payroll coordination, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage performance appraisals, guide managers in performance reviews, and assist in career development and succession planning.
  • Stay updated with HR best practices, industry trends, and changes in labour laws to ensure HR functions remain proactive and legally compliant.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of latest HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to Senior leaders, managers and staff within the organization.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy and performance in co-operation with the executive team.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirement for quality management, health and safety, legal requirement, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Develop and Maintain healthy relation with Govt. and Non Govt. Organizations for better and fast functioning of organization.
  • Audit and authenticate all documents related to legal, salary statements and distribution, policies etc.
