Job Title : IT Team Lead - Data Center Administration & Networking.
Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to manage and oversee our Data Center Administration, Networking Operations, and Linux Teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure, while leading a team of skilled professionals.
This role requires excellent technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Team Management :
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Linux Administration and Networking teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure team adherence to SLA requirements.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career development plans for team members.
Data Center Administration :
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of data center hardware, including servers, storage, and networking devices.
- Ensure uptime and reliability of data center services through effective monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Manage data backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Networking Operations :
- Configure, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Monitor network performance and implement measures to minimize downtime and latency.
- Support the design and implementation of secure and scalable network solutions.
Linux Administration :
- Supervise the management of Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability and security.
- Oversee system updates, patching, and performance tuning to maintain peak efficiency.
- Collaborate with the team to resolve escalated technical issues related to Linux environments.
Project Management :
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technology improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project progress and infrastructure upgrades.
Security & Compliance :
- Enforce IT security protocols to protect systems and sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO, GDPR, or other relevant frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement :
- Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and complex technical challenges.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver IT solutions accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Expertise in data center administration, including hardware and virtualization technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, tools, and equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructure management.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience handling critical incidents.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Certifications :
- CCNP/CCNA (Networking).
- RHCE/RHCSA (Linux).
- Data Center Certifications (i.e., CDCP, CDCS).
- ITIL Certification.
