Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Trainer with a strong background in ERP systems and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a technical degree and over 10 years of experience in technical sales, training, and demonstrations. The role involves creating and delivering technical training programs for sales teams and customers, ensuring that all stakeholders have the knowledge and skills necessary to sell, use, and implement ERP and LMS solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Training & Development:
Develop, design, and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal sales teams on ERP systems, LMS, and related technical products. This includes technical product features, benefits, selling points, and how to position the solutions in front of potential clients.
- Product Demos & Customer Engagement:
Conduct detailed, technical product demonstrations to potential customers. Customize product presentations and demos to the specific needs and challenges of each client to showcase the capabilities and benefits of ERP and LMS solutions.
- Curriculum Design:
Create instructional materials such as manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules focused on ERP and LMS platforms. Ensure content is aligned with sales goals, customer requirements, and product updates.
- Customer Onboarding and Support:
Provide onboarding and product training to customers, ensuring they understand how to use the ERP and LMS systems effectively. Provide post-sales support by answering technical queries and assisting customers in the integration and setup of systems.
- Sales Enablement & Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and product teams to understand product features, updates, and customer requirements. Provide insights on common customer objections, pain points, and technical challenges to help improve sales pitches and customer interactions.
- Technical Expertise & Knowledge Sharing:
Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in ERP systems, LMS platforms, and technical sales methodologies. Continuously share knowledge with both the internal sales team and customers to ensure they are equipped with the latest product information.
- Sales Performance & Metrics Tracking:
Track and report on the effectiveness of training programs and product demonstrations. Measure the impact of training on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and refinement in training approaches.
- Customization and Tailoring of Sales Approaches:
Tailor training materials, demos, and sales pitches to different industries and customer profiles, addressing their unique business processes, challenges, and goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales, training, or related roles within the ERP or LMS industry.
- Proven experience in conducting product demos, sales presentations, and technical training.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is essential.
- Skills:
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and motivate sales teams and customers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficient in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools.
- Knowledge of common sales enablement tools and CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
- Certifications (optional but beneficial):
- ERP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Associate, Oracle Certified Expert, etc.)
- Sales certifications (e.g., Sandler Sales, Solution Selling)
