Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Network Security Architecture Design:
o Design and implement secure network architectures that protect the company s data and infrastructure.
o Review and recommend improvements to the existing network security infrastructure (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs).
o Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that network security controls are integrated into new projects and initiatives.
Threat Management Incident Response:
o Proactively monitor network traffic for signs of malicious activity, vulnerabilities, and compliance violations.
o Respond to and investigate security incidents, including data breaches, intrusion attempts, and malware infections.
o Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to improve future security posture.
o VA Remediation
Firewall and IDS/IPS Management:
o Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security devices.
o Develop and enforce security policies for network traffic filtering, segmentation, and access controls.
o Ensure the configuration of network security devices aligns with industry best practices and internal security policies.

Security Compliance Documentation:
o Ensure that network security practices comply with relevant industry standards, regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS), and internal policies.
o Maintain accurate documentation of network security configurations, incidents, and policies for audit and compliance purposes.
o Prepare reports for senior management on security posture, incidents, and ongoing improvements.
Collaboration Leadership:
o Mentor and train junior network security engineers and other IT staff on security best practices and new technologies.
o Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and other business units to ensure seamless integration of security within network operations.
o Participate in the development of the organization s cybersecurity strategy and long-term roadmap
Skills Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of firewall management (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Check Point, Fortinet).
Expertise in securing network protocols and services (e.g., DNS, HTTP, SMTP, FTP).
Strong experience with VPN technologies (SSL VPN, IPSec, MPLS, etc.).
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud network infrastructures.
Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and remediation tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents in real-time.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to security best practices.
