Deputy General Manager EPC Project Controller

Job Summary:

The Deputy Head - Project Execution supports the Head - Project Execution in overseeing the successful delivery of EPC projects within the energy sector, with a specific focus on Transmission and Distribution (T&D). This role includes managing project execution teams, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and financial targets, and stepping in as the acting head when required. The Deputy Head will also contribute to business development activities, particularly in the T&D sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of EPC projects, particularly in Transmission and Distribution.
• Client Interaction: Maintain regular communication with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, ensure financial discipline, and secure project margins to achieve or exceed financial targets.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage project cash flows to ensure liquidity and financial health throughout the project lifecycle.
• Team Management: Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to project objectives.
• Quality and Safety Compliance: Oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage risks in project execution, developing strategies to minimize their impact.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed project status reports for the Head - Project Execution and senior management.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, with specialization in Electrical, Civil, or related fields preferred.
• Experience: 12+ years of experience in EPC project management, with a focus on T&D projects.
• Skills:
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience in managing T&D projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software.

Preferred Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety
