Fire And Safety Officer - Pune ( Hinjewadi)

• Role & responsibilities
• Conduct risk assessment related activities.
• Wellbeing intervention and reporting.
• Conduct returns to work along with HR.
• Encourage reporting of near miss and incident.
• Conducting inspection and participation in internal audit.
• Risk Assessment periodic review.
• Participation on benchmarking for improvement.
• Increase suggestion to team for continual improvements.
• Suggestion, Feedback from team for continual improvement
• Liaising with vendors and local authority.
• Identification and implementation of MOC
• Ensure that the fire safety team have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties
• Identifies potential safety or fire hazards; acts and/or makes recommendations to eliminate hazard.
• Ensure firefighting equipments are healthy and operational during emergency
• Responds to all fire alarms; determines whether a fire exists; attempts to extinguish fire.
• Provides training and explains work instructions to subordinate Fire Marshals
• Conducts fire drills and participates in fire prevention programs
• Ensures compliance with codes and regulations and fire prevention and public education activities
• Perform duties associated with emergency response and investigation
• Ensure that all fire apparatus and equipment is maintained as per standards and in fully operational condition
• Perform routine maintenance duties of buildings in periods of low hazards
• Ensures Environment, Health (Physical & Mental) and Safety standards are maintained in the park in consultation with EHS officer.
• Report on wellbeing issues to welfare officer.
• To participate / review occupational health (Physical & Mental) and safety objectives (including wellbeing)

• Prevention of ill health (physical and mental).
• To participate / review occupational health (Physical & Mental) and safety programmers and planning (including wellbeing)
• Participate in environmental and energy management initiatives and training
• Wellbeing intervention and reporting.
• Assist in the development and implementation of energy performance improvement plans.
• Coordinate site level documentation and changes.
• Support the IMS Implementation at Site
• Coordinate site level performance reporting.
• Coordinate site level audits (internal and external)
• Follow up with teams for closure of NCR.

Accountability

• QHS & wellbeing performance for department
• Accountable for departmental and indusial objective achievement.
• Participation in safety meeting, training, and campaign.
• Participation in safety budget.
• Provides training on apparatus operations to team.
• Evaluates performance of vendors. (KPI)
• Prepares necessary reports (incident, drill)
• Conducts occupancy inspections
• Participates in and oversees equipment inspection and testing
• Given awareness on emergency drill.
• Accountable for handle site specific audits & company IMS documents

Authority

• Authorize to stop any unsafe practices which can lead to injury or illness
• Decision taking for any HSE related work
• Authority to give technical and Safety related instructions to the staff and the contractors within the framework of the area of responsibility
• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health (Physical & Mental), and environmental risk
• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required
