Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

1.Safety Compliance & Audits:

• Monitor factory operations to ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the factory premises to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure that all required safety permits and licenses are up to date and maintain regulatory compliance at all times.

2.Risk Assessment & Hazard Control:

• Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments to determine the level of risk and recommend control measures.
• Implement hazard control procedures and ensure all safety measures are in place to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental impact.

3.Safety Programs & Training:

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS safety programs tailored to the factory environment (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Hazardous Materials Handling, Emergency Response Procedures).
• Provide ongoing safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors to
• ensure a clear understanding of safety policies and best practices.
• Organize emergency drills, including fire evacuation, first-aid, and spill response, to ensure readiness during potential incidents.

4.Incident Management & Investigation:

• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe work conditions, documenting the findings, and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain incident reports, accident investigations, and related documentation as required by regulations.
• Work with management to develop action plans to address and eliminate root causes of safety incidents.

5.Environmental Protection:

• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations, including waste management, chemical handling, and pollution control.
• Promote sustainability efforts by implementing programs aimed at reducing waste, energy consumption, and environmental footprint in the factory.
• Monitor hazardous materials and ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal in accordance with regulatory standards.

6.Safety Equipment & PPE Management:

• Ensure that all employees use the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and that PPE is maintained, replaced, and accessible.
• Monitor safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and emergency alarms, to ensure they are in good working condition.

7.Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, training sessions, inspections, audits, and incident reports.
• Generate and submit regular reports on safety performance, compliance, and improvement initiatives to management.

8.Safety Culture & Awareness:

• Foster a culture of safety by encouraging employees to participate in safety initiatives and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Promote ongoing communication regarding EHS issues and encourage a proactive approach to safety within all levels of the organization.
