Safety Officer

of Role & responsibilities

1. Approve work permits and ensure compliance with safety standards.

2. Conduct plant rounds, contractor site visits, and zone-wise safety audits to monitor safety practices.

3. Inspect, follow up on identified safety concerns, and compile observations from rounds and audits.

4. Manage Safety PPE issuance, stock, and consumption reporting.

5. Organize, attend, and maintain records for safety meetings (weekly, SSC, CSC).

6. Prepare and submit monthly safety reports for A&E and Corporate.

7. Conduct canteen audits, monthly surrounding rounds, and supplier/contractor safety audits.

8. Provide safety training sessions and organize mock drills with detailed reporting.

9. Analyze accidents and injuries to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

10. Review and revise Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documents.

11. Coordinate legal inspections and internal/external audits like : ISO,OHS AS and customers audits etc.

Preferred candidate profile

Must have Safety Diploma (ADIS/PDIS) from Regional labour Institute (RLI) with 2-4 years experience in EHS/Safety department in any industry.
