Lady Welfare Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Major : Shift Management

• Counseling and Support:
  
• Provide individual and group counseling services to women facing personal, social, or emotional challenges.
• Offer guidance on issues related to family, health, career, and relationships.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards while handling sensitive matters.
• Advocacy and Awareness:
  
• Advocate for the rights of women in the workplace or community.
• Raise awareness about womens rights, legal protections, and available welfare programs.
• Educate women about their rights and available resources for their welfare and protection.
• Crisis Intervention and Safety:
  
• Assist women who are victims of domestic violence, harassment, or other forms of abuse, and ensure their safety.
• Provide emergency support and guide women to legal or medical assistance as needed.
• Resource Coordination:
  
• Connect women to relevant resources, such as legal aid, medical services, educational opportunities, and financial assistance.
• Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and local organizations to access and provide services.
• Record-Keeping and Reporting:
  
• Maintain detailed records of cases, interactions, and interventions while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on welfare activities, issues faced by women, and any actions taken.
• Training and Empowerment:
  
• Conduct training workshops on topics like self-defense, health awareness, financial independence, and legal rights.
• Empower women through skill-building sessions to enhance their self-reliance and confidence.
• Conflict Resolution and Mediation:
  
• Mediate disputes and conflicts within the community or workplace, promoting peaceful and respectful solutions.
• Help resolve interpersonal issues and assist in maintaining a healthy social environment.
• Community Engagement:
  
• Organize awareness campaigns, events, and community programs focusing on womens health, safety, and empowerment.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and local authorities to address women’s issues more effectively.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
  
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience:
  
• At least 2-3 years of experience in social work, counseling, or women’s welfare programs.
• Experience in working with marginalized or vulnerable populations is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  
• Strong counseling and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with empathy and confidentiality.
• Sound knowledge of women’s rights, laws, and social welfare schemes.
• Good problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with community resources and social services.
