Job Description
Role Overview:
As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end deployment of our ride-hailing application, including native mobile application development for both Android and iOS. You will be instrumental in building robust system architectures, scaling applications, and leading a team of talented engineers. A deep understanding of geolocation services, blockchain technology, and on-chain services will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team in the development, deployment, and scaling of our ride-hailing application.
- Oversee native mobile application development for Android and iOS platforms.
- Design and implement scalable system architectures.
- Ensure the application meets high standards of performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Utilize geolocation services and build advanced location-based features.
- Implement and integrate blockchain and on-chain services as required.
- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and entrepreneurial spirit within the team.
- Build and scale engineering teams, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in end-to-end deployment of ride-hailing or mobility applications.
- Strong expertise in native mobile application development for Android and iOS.
- Excellent understanding of system architecture and experience in scaling applications.
- Proficiency in Node.js, React, native Android development, and Golang.
- Experience in the mobility industry, such as ride-hailing or food delivery applications, is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of geolocation services and building location-based applications.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology and on-chain services is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage and scale engineering teams effectively.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a focus on innovation and ownership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
