I. JOB DETAILS

II. JOB PURPOSE

To administer and execute the complete operation and maintenance of hospital building with specific focus on MEP activities in a cost effective manner.

III. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities

• To effectively interface with user departments on their maintenance needs.
• To demonstrate ability to liaise with regulatory authorities for all utility services ensure compliance to life and fire safety regulations
• To ensure planned and timely progress and completion of commissioning activities.
• To ensure timely action on trouble shooting of equipment
• To ensure drawings and time schedules are followed.
• To ensure planned and predictive maintenance systems are in place.
• To ensure timely Quality Audit.
• Provide training and guidance to subordinates.
• To budget for maintenance activities and operate within budgeted costs.
• To ensure minimum downtime for all utilities.
• To ensure adequate spares inventory level in the stores.
• To be well groomed, punctual and adhere to company policies and practices.
• To have complete orientation of QMS and EMS system of Hospital.
• To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
• To Comply with the service quality Process, environmental occupational issues policies of the respective area
• To Comply with patient safety policy
• To ensure safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal system.

IV. KEY RESULT AREAS

.

• Timely installation, commissioning and taking over of Building Utilities equipment at hospital project.
• Cost of maintenance within 4% of capital cost (or as agreed) on an annual basis.
• Maintenance of equipment with minimum down time 98% up time (or as agreed).
• Cost of utilities within agreed/budgeted costs.

V. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Experience

• 12-15 yrs experience in hospital /hospitality service.
