Payroll Manager

Job Overview:

The EMEA Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing payroll operations across multiple countries in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region. This role ensures accurate and compliant payroll processing, manages vendor relationships, and collaborates with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to maintain seamless payroll execution. The position requires deep knowledge of local payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices in payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing & Compliance

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, social security, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Stay updated on legislative changes and implement necessary payroll adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to GDPR and other data protection regulations for payroll data.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring SLAs and service quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to ensure accurate payroll accounting, reporting, and integration with HR systems.
• Work closely with tax authorities, social security agencies, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

Process Improvement & System Management

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and technology solutions.
• Ensure payroll systems integrate seamlessly with HR and finance applications.

Employee Support & Communication

• Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and stakeholders.
• Develop and communicate clear payroll policies and guidelines.
• Handle complex payroll issues, including expatriate payroll, equity compensation, and bonus calculations.

Reporting & Financial Reconciliation

• Prepare payroll reports and analytics for Finance and HR leadership.
• Reconcile payroll accounts, ensuring proper cost allocation and reporting.
• Support internal and external audits by providing payroll data and documentation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or a related field.
• Experience: 8-14 years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role handling multi-country payroll in EMEA.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, CloudPay).
• Experience with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• Understanding of equity compensation, expatriate payroll, and benefits administration.
• Regulatory Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of EMEA labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
• Experience ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data privacy laws.
• Soft Skills:
