doodleblue Innovations - Quality Assurance Engineer - Cards & Payments System (6-10 yrs)

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Business and Technology teams by conducting thorough testing of Cards & Payments systems.

The role involves test planning, execution, automation, defect tracking, and process improvements to ensure the quality and reliability of payment solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Prepare test specifications, test plans, and effort estimation.

- Execute user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and test automation.

- Develop and execute detailed test scripts based on business and technical requirements.

- Validate system behavior through positive, negative, and regression test cases and document defects.

- Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) for Web services and XML interfaces using tools like SOAPUI and POSTMAN.

- Identify field, format, and value errors during SIT and UAT cycles and work with technical teams to resolve them.

- Monitor defects, coordinate with relevant teams, and ensure timely resolution based on severity levels.

- Ensure zero errors before production deployment of batch and online interfaces.

- Collaborate with Test Leads, Business Analysts, Developers, and Production Support Teams to define and meet testing objectives.

- Maintain test logs, track testing progress, and suggest process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

Key Relationships :

- Internal Teams : Testing, Development, Business Analysis, Implementation, Operations, and Production Support.

- External Teams : Clients, Business Partners, and Third-Party Vendors.

Skills & Qualifications Required :

Education :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Professional Skills :

- Strong domain knowledge in Cards & Payments systems.

- Understanding of middleware, back-office, and front-end concepts related to card-based payment systems.

- Hands-on experience with Card Management Platforms & Payment Switches.

- Experience in validating settlements and reconciliation of incoming/outgoing financial files.

- Technical skills in automation testing using Python, Selenium, SQL, PLSQL, Web Service API, TCL, REST API.

- Familiarity with test management and documentation tools such as JIRA, Zephyr.

- Experience with Agile testing methodologies such as TDD, BDD, and ATDD.

- Preferred experience in Data Migration, Data Mapping, and Data Validation.
