Sr. Manager / AGM / DGM - Procurement (Mechanical)

Knowledge of Chinese language is desirable and should be ready for the long stays at China.

Supplier Management:

• Person responsible for developing overseas vendors for supply of spares from the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) mainly from China.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable suppliers of construction equipment spare parts, negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and contract agreements to secure the best value.
• Should have knowledge of purchase specially imports with exposure of handling overseas shipments, logistics, custom clearance, duties, taxes and allied procedures.
• Procurement Strategy - Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for spare parts, considering factors like inventory levels, lead times, and demand forecasting to optimize costs and minimize stockouts.
• Market Research - Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, stay updated on industry trends, and assess the availability and pricing of spare parts.
• Inventory Management - Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts to ensure adequate stock is available to meet maintenance needs while minimizing excess inventory costs.
• Purchase Order Management - Create and process purchase orders for spare parts, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, quantities, and delivery deadlines.
• Quality Control - Implement quality control measures to verify the quality of received spare parts, ensuring they meet technical specifications and manufacturer standards.
• Cost Analysis - Analyse spending on spare parts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate better pricing with suppliers.
• Technical Expertise - Possess a deep understanding of mechanical systems used in construction equipment to accurately identify and source required spare parts.
• Logistics Coordination - Manage the logistics of spare part delivery, including coordinating shipping and customs clearance.
• Reporting and Analysis - Generate reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance metrics, and inventory levels.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of Chinese language is desirable and should be ready for the long stays at China.

Relevant Experience:

• Previous experience in a procurement role within the construction equipment industry, preferably focused on spare parts procurement and management.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to construction equipment parts preferably in Chinese Market.
