About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer with expertise in HCL Commerce V8 to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, particularly in B2B environments, and will play a key role in implementing and customizing solutions to meet complex business requirements.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical design, development, and integration efforts, ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-performance e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and implementation of HCL CommerceV8 solutions to support B2B e-commerce requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product managers, and other engineers, to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Customize and extend HCL Commerce functionalities to meet specific business needs, including Punchout, catalog management, pricing, order management, and payment integrations.

- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as SAP, PIPO, Coupa, Punchout, MDM.

- Optimize the performance, scalability, and security of the e-commerce platform.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to HCL Commerce implementations.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in e-commerce technologies and HCL Commerce features.

- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 8 years of hands-on experience with HCL Commerce (formerly IBM WebSphere Commerce) in a senior engineering role.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing B2B e-commerce solutions.

- Strong understanding of e-commerce concepts, including catalog management, pricing, promotions, and order management.

- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and RESTful web services.

- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular is a plus.

- Knowledge of integration patterns and tools for connecting e-commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with headless commerce architectures and microservices.

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- Certification in HCL Commerce or related technologies is a plus.
