Database Manager (5-9 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain database systems and applications.

- Ensure database security, integrity, and availability.

- Perform database tuning and optimization.

- Develop and maintain database documentation.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

- Monitor database performance and capacity.

- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.

- Work closely with application developers and system administrators.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as a Database Manager or a related role.

- Strong knowledge of database design principles and concepts.

- Experience with various database management systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).

- Experience with database administration tools and techniques.

- Experience with performance tuning and optimization.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills (Preferred) :

- Experience with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence.

- Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
