As a Solution Architect, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and innovative solutions tailored to the needs of the airport industry. Your role will involve leveraging the latest technologies and open-source platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving project success. Ideally, you bring a deep understanding of airport systems and hands-on experience in an individual contributor capacity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design and Architecture

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and design comprehensive solutions for airport-related projects.
• Develop architectural blueprints and detailed technical documentation.
• Ensure proposed solutions adhere to industry best practices and standards.

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to gather and analyze their requirements.
• Ensure the designed architectural solutions align with client needs and expectations.

• Oversee the integration of diverse systems and technologies, ensuring seamless interoperability within airport ecosystems.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, especially in open-source platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, frameworks, and platforms for project needs.

• Contribute directly to development tasks, including coding and programming, as required.
• Mentor and guide development teams to implement best practices and maintain code quality.

• Work closely with developers, project managers, and business analysts to deliver successful projects.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Establish quality assurance processes to ensure reliability and performance of delivered solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to standards.

• Identify opportunities for improving processes within solution architecture and development cycles.
• Drive the evolution of the technology stack by adopting emerging trends and innovations.

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 13+ years in IT, with at least 7+ years as a Solution Architect focusing on the airport domain.
• Strong proficiency in open-source technologies and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with programming languages like J2EE, Python, and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL; familiarity with AODB is advantageous.

• In-depth understanding of airport-related systems, processes, and regulations.

• Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and with stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• TOGAF
• AWS Certified Solution Architect (or equivalent certifications).
