Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to drive B2B sales for our specialty chemicals catering to the construction and machine tool industries. The ideal candidate will be an extrovert, possess a strong technical background, excellent relationship management skills, and a passion for sales. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, and providing technical expertise to customers.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Understand clients needs, challenges, and processes in the construction and machine tool manufacturing industries.
  • Provide ongoing technical and commercial support to customers.

New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct market research to assess potential clients, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base.

Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our specialty chemical products, applications, and benefits.
  • Provide technical support and product recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, trials, and on-site technical support, including at the time-of-service delivery.

Sales Presentations & Demonstrations

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to clients.
  • Conduct hands-on product demonstrations to showcase product performance.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and conferences to promote our solutions.

Sales Target & Performance Management

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and quotas within the assigned regions.
  • Regularly track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and key performance metrics.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide periodic sales reports, market insights, and customer feedback to management.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, technical, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Share market intelligence and customer insights to enhance product offerings.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in specialty chemicals for the construction and machine tool industries.
  • Strong technical acumen to understand and communicate complex product information.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
